HASEYA CLASSES

VINYASA YOGA

  • Vinyasa, which means “breath synchronised movement,” is a challenging and dynamic flow-based yoga practice that builds focus, strength, flexibility, and tone. Ancient Hatha Yoga postures are linked together in a continuous flow, creating an almost dance-like sequence that moves with your breath.

This style of yoga is accessible to practitioners of all levels. With continued practice, you will notice yourself growing stronger, more flexible, and achieving things you may never have imagined possible. It is always worth remembering that yoga is a journey, not a destination.

Physically, Vinyasa Yoga offers a wide range of benefits. The sweat generated in class helps expel toxins, burn fat and calories, build bone density, and provide a cardiovascular boost. The dynamic flow strengthens muscles, improves posture, and enhances flexibility.

Mentally, the synchronisation of breath with movement has a calming effect on the mind, helping to release energy blockages throughout the body. It reduces stress, alleviates symptoms of depression, and sharpens focus and concentration.

HATHA YOGA

  • Hatha Yoga is often the first style of yoga that comes to mind, a gentle yet powerful practice that integrates breath, body, and mind. It is the foundation for many other styles of yoga and is practised with a focus on alignment and mindful movement.

In a typical Hatha Yoga class, you will move through a series of postures (asanas), each held for longer periods of time, allowing for a deeper stretch and greater awareness of the body. Classes usually range from 45 to 90 minutes, combining breathwork, physical poses, and meditation. Hatha is generally slower-paced than styles like Vinyasa, Ashtanga, or Dynamic yoga, making it an ideal choice for beginners or those seeking a more intentional, steady practice.

The benefits of Hatha Yoga are many, including improved sleep, strengthened core muscles, reduced symptoms of depression, and effective stress management. By emphasising the holding of poses, it allows you to build strength, flexibility, and mindfulness over time.

If you are new to yoga or seeking a slower-paced, grounding practice, Hatha Yoga is a beautiful place to begin. You will leave each class feeling refreshed, deeply stretched, and more centred in both body and mind.

YIN YOGA

  • Yin Yoga is a deeply nourishing and restorative practice that invites you to slow down, soften, and turn inward. Designed to activate the parasympathetic nervous system, our body’s natural rest and digest response, Yin offers a space where both body and mind can gently release and renew.

In a Yin class, we hold postures for extended periods of time, typically 3 to 5 minutes, allowing the muscles to relax and the deeper connective tissues to stretch. This practice encourages the release of tension, promotes emotional balance, and creates space for healing and restoration.

By shifting out of the sympathetic nervous system (our “fight or flight” response) and into the parasympathetic system, Yin Yoga helps to lower stress and anxiety, leaving you feeling deeply relaxed and rejuvenated. It is a practice that encourages mindfulness, allowing you to slow down and connect with your breath, your body, and your inner self.

If you are seeking a practice that nurtures not only your body but also your mind and emotions, Yin Yoga is the perfect choice. Whether you are new to yoga or experienced, you will find peace and healing in each long-held posture. You will leave each class feeling grounded, calm, and gently restored in both body and mind.

DYNAMIC YOGA

  • Dynamic Yoga is a fast-paced, flowing practice that moves seamlessly from one pose to the next, gradually becoming more challenging as the class progresses. In this class, you will build strength, stamina, and flexibility while maintaining the freedom to work at your own pace. The intensity increases throughout the session, encouraging you to explore your physical limits and deepen your practice.

The benefits of Dynamic Yoga are swift, transformative, and wide-reaching. The postures stretch, tone, and strengthen the entire musculoskeletal system while also stimulating the internal organs, glands, and nerves. This holistic approach not only enhances your physical strength but also supports the body’s internal functions.

Each movement encourages deep body awareness, helping to cultivate concentration and mindfulness. The rhythmic flow of poses combined with focused breathing exercises refreshes and cleanses the body, while calming the mind and promoting mental clarity.

If you are looking for a practice that is invigorating, physically challenging, and fast-paced, Dynamic Yoga is a wonderful choice. It is an excellent way to challenge yourself, build endurance, and leave each class feeling strong, energised, and centred.
